Edith Carol Widder

Edith Carol Widder, 104 of Newcomerstown, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2026 at Riverside Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Carol was born December 25, 1921, in Newcomerstown to the late Fred and Helen (Leignninger) Trees. Carol graduated from Newcomerstown High School, and went on to work at Brode Corp, where she retired.

She is survived by her children Jan (Scott) Elias, and Bruce (Deb) Widder; her grandchildren Malia Widder, Breann Widder, Rebecca “Becky” (Lance) Lane, and Amy Price; her great-grandchildren Austin and Toby (Amy) Lane, and Arden and Kiki Price.

Carol was preceded in death by her loving husband Roger Widder who passed away in 1975; and her sister Joann Cabot.

Per Carol’s wishes, a caring cremation will take place. She will be laid to rest in West Lawn Cemetery.
