Patricia A. Jones

Patricia Ann Jones, 63, of West Lafayette, passed away on Tuesday January 27, 2026 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville. Patty was born on December 20, 1962 in Coshocton, OH to the late Ted W. Jones and Sharon J. (Mathews) Jones, who survives.

Patty was a 1981 graduate of Newcomerstown High School. She always had an immense love for animals. She took in many cats and dogs of her own. She also worked at the Coshocton County Animal Shelter for over 25 years. She was a rare soul, someone that could be counted on to show up regardless of weather, illness, or incident. She was such a positive light at the shelter, always putting the animals first. She was such a passionate cat-lady, but she loved dogs as well. It can’t be understated how impossible her shoes will be to fill.

Patty is survived by her mother, Sharon Jones.

She is preceded in death by her father Ted Jones and her sister, Renee Hill.
